Who We Are

The ACES in Homeschool ACES Coop stands for Academic and Christian Education for Students. Homeschool ACES Coop was established in September 2007. It falls under the umbrella of the New Life Homeschool Family Ministry of New Life Church of Woodbury, Minnesota. The mission of the New Life Homeschool Family Ministry is to mentor and support families who homeschool their children in Woodbury and in the surrounding community, so that the Lord Jesus Christ is glorified in our families, in the church, and in our community.

Hence, New Life ACES Homeschool Coop is more than just a cooperative that meets for classes. It is an establishing tool for families—encouraging husbands and wives in their God-given roles, parents, both singles and couples, in training their children, and children in honoring their parents.

New Life ACES Homeschool Coop meets 3 Thursdays each month during the school year, from 9:10 am to 12:30 pm, at Five Oaks Community Church on Radio Drive in Woodbury. We have Nursery for children under 3 and preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds. For Kindergarten we offer Language, Math, Art, Music, and P.E. For Gr. 1-12 we offer Art, Music, P.E., and Science. In addition, Gr. 1 has History, Gr. 2-3 has Creative Writing, Gr. 4-6 has Speech, and Gr. 7-12 has Communications.

Mothers meet during the coop for prayer, fellowship, and equipping times. Fathers meet five times during the school year to encourage one another in their leadership in the home. Our teachers and class helpers are parent volunteers.

Besides the New Life ACES Homeschool Coop, our ministry runs a summer baseball league that is open to ACES members, New Life families, and their friends and neighbors. We also have a homeschool graduation for seniors whose families are actively involved in at least one of the ministries of New Life Church.
