Who We Are

The ACES in ACES Homeschool Co-op stands for Academic and Christian Education for Students. ACES Homeschool Co-op was established in September 2007. It falls under the umbrella of the New Life Homeschool Family Ministry of New Life Church of Woodbury, Minnesota. The mission of the New Life Homeschool Family Ministry is to mentor and support families who homeschool their children in Woodbury and in the surrounding community, so that the Lord Jesus Christ is glorified in our families, in the church, and in our community.

New Life ACES Homeschool Coop meets 3 Thursdays each month during the school year, from 9:10 am to 12:30 pm, in Lakeland, MN. We have Nursery for children under 3 and preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds. For Kindergarten we offer Language, Math, Art, Music, and P.E. For Gr. 1-6 we offer Art, Music, Drama, P.E., Science and sometimes another elective. For grades 7 and up we offer a Junior High and High School Science choice, and a variety of elective options, which may rotate or change depending on the needs of our families and teachers. Options may include any of the following: Drama, Music, Art, Writing, Geography, Literature, Bible, Apologetics, P.E., Financial Peace, etc.

We are not a drop off CO-OP. Our teachers and class helpers are parent volunteers. Mothers are volunteer teachers and helpers through the morning at coop.  They also meet during the morning for encouragement, fellowship, and prayer. Fathers are invited to visit anytime and can also teach. Our goal is to supplement the education that parents are providing for their children with classes that are beneficial and enjoyable in community.

Besides the New Life ACES Homeschool Coop, we also have a homeschool graduation for seniors whose families are actively involved in at least one of the ministries of New Life Church.
